How to Meditate

  1. Choose a place to sit or stand that feels calm and quiet to you, a quiet corner of a room or a outdoor location.
  2. Adjust your posture, pay attention to your body and ensure you are in a position that you can maintain without strain for the duration of your practice.
  3. As you practice, focus the sensation of your breath as it flows in and as it flows out.
  4. As you practice, be kind to your wandering mind, it’s natural to explore various thoughts. Don’t judge yourself for the thoughts.

Try these approaches to practice meditation

1. For beginners, start the meditation practice with sessions lasting between 2-8 minutes.

2. Gradually increase the duration of the meditation session, allowing the mind and body to adjust to the longer periods of stillness.

3. Commit to a regular practice, set aside a specific time each day for the practice.
